The Fraser Valley is a cooler climate compared to the other parts of BC wineries. Mostly, the area is rich with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Bacchus. Also, there are some vineyard plantings of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The majority of these wineries are in Langley, Surrey, and Abbotsford. Certainly, the land and climate are very suitable for growing wine grapes. However, there are also a few wineries in Richmond.
